The municipality of Villers-la-Ville has announced the opening of a public inquiry regarding a permit application for Vital Materials Belgium. The company, with offices at Rue de la Station 67 in Tilly, intends to replace its current gas effluent treatment unit with a more efficient one designed to improve nitrogen oxide (NOx) abatement.
The application file can be consulted at the communal administration starting from September 24, 2026. It is noted that the file is not accompanied by an impact study. The application was posted on September 18, 2026.
The public inquiry will conclude on October 9, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Communal Administration. Written observations can be sent to the Communal Administration, rue de Marbais 37, 1495 Villers-la-Ville. Oral observations can be made by appointment with the Environmental Advisor, Delphine De Laet, at 071/87.03.89.
The file is available for consultation on each working day during service hours (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 12 PM, Wednesday 2 PM to 4 PM) and Fridays from 4 PM to 8 PM by appointment made at least 24 hours in advance. Technical explanations can be obtained from the applicant, the environmental advisor, the communal college, or the technical official from the Walloon Public Service.
The competent authority for the decision on this application is the Collège communal of Villers-la-Ville.
