The voucher allows for free garbage bags. Quantities vary by household size: 10 bags of 30 liters for a single-person household, 10 bags of 60 liters for a two-person household, and 20 bags of 60 liters for households of three or more. Each household is also entitled to a roll of 20 PMC (plastics, metals, cartons) bags.
Free bags can be collected from October 5, 2026, to April 5, 2027, upon presentation of the voucher. Collection points include the Finance/Revenue service of the City of Walcourt (rue de Fraire, 4 in 5650 Walcourt) and several partner merchants in the Walcourt, Chastrès, Laneffe, Somzée, Tarcienne, and Gerpinnes areas.
It is reminded that distribution is only upon presentation of the designated voucher, and any reproduction is strictly prohibited. Waste sorting is presented as a simple action that can lead to savings of up to 70% and contributes to environmental preservation.
The next issue of Wal’Info, to be distributed soon, will include the waste collection calendar. The municipality emphasizes that correct waste sorting reduces residual waste, preserves the environment, and controls waste management costs.
