The municipality of Walcourt has installed 20 new public sorting bins, including for 'PMC' and 'residual waste' fractions, to promote recycling and cleanliness.

Twenty additional sorting bins, dedicated to the 'PMC' (Plastics, Metals, Beverage Cartons) and 'residual waste' fractions, have been deployed in the public spaces of Walcourt. This initiative aims to improve waste sorting and enable its valorization, thereby contributing to environmental protection.
To ensure optimal recycling of 'PMC', the municipality urges citizens to redouble their efforts in sorting practices. It is reminded that public bins are exclusively for small items used by passers-by, picnic waste, and bagged dog waste.
Depositing packages or bags containing household waste, green waste, or other types of waste is prohibited. The 'PMC' fraction is identifiable by the blue color 🔵, which is the same as the bags used for collecting Plastic packaging, Metal packaging, and Beverage Cartons.
