This Saturday, October 31, 2026, the locality of Suarlée buzzed with flavors during the 26th edition of the 'Honeys From Here and Elsewhere' contest. Nearly 120 honeys, originating from Belgium, France, Germany, and Algeria, were submitted for appraisal by a jury of experts, beekeepers, and enthusiasts.
Approximately 50 passionate individuals and professionals gathered for this comparative tasting, which led to the designation of gold, silver, and bronze medal winners. This event is organized by the Centre apicole de Recherche et d’Information (CARI) and the non-profit PROMIEL, with the support of the Walloon Agency for the Promotion of Quality Agriculture (Apaq-W).
This competition aims to highlight honey, a precious product offered by bees.
