The Parliament of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation strengthens its partnership with the Namur International Francophone Film Festival (FIFF), promoting Belgian cinema and youth engagement through a citizen debate.

For the 2026 edition of the Namur International Francophone Film Festival (FIFF), the Parliament of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation reaffirms its strategic support for the event. This partnership aims to promote the vitality of Belgian cinema, encourage local talent, and celebrate the diversity of the Francophonie.
As part of FIFF Pro, the Parliament, in collaboration with the festival, organized a debate session on Thursday, October 1st. The event gathered around thirty upper secondary school students to discuss strong themes: emancipation and solidarity.
Following the screening of the Belgian documentary « La remontada », directed by Tatiana De Perlinghi, which chronicles the human and sporting adventure of a senior women's football team (average age: 63) participating in the 'Soccer Grannies' World Cup in South Africa, an interactive exchange took place. Students debated with several female MPs from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, moderated by journalist Stéphane Vandevelde (Le Soir), exploring concepts of feminism, commitment, solidarity, and female emancipation.
Through this initiative, the Parliament confirms its role as a bridge between artistic creation, democratic debate, and the civic awareness of future generations.
