Wallimage fête ses 25 ans et se tourne vers l'avenir des industries créatives

Wallimage

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Wallimage highlights a strong Walloon creative ecosystem where cinema, video games, and digital creativity converge more than ever, opening new perspectives for technological and economic challenges.

For 25 years, Wallimage has bet on building a robust creative ecosystem, progressively integrating cinema, television, video games, and digital creativity. Today, these universes are converging like never before: intellectual properties circulate between media, video game technologies find new applications, platforms are revolutionizing creation and distribution methods, and artificial intelligence opens up unprecedented prospects while raising numerous questions.
Faced with these technological and economic challenges, Wallimage's transversal approach takes on its full meaning. The future of Walloon creative industries will be built by crossing talents, technologies, and know-how. To explore these transformations, Wallimage is organizing a series of conferences and professional exchanges.
The event, organized in partnership with RTBF and wake!, will be introduced by the supervising minister, Pierre-Yves Jeholet.
Production and AI will be at the heart of the discussions, with three producers – Jacques-Henri Bronckart (Versus Production), Jean-Yves Roubin (Frakas Productions), and Jean Mach (Inevitable) – confronting their visions on the opportunities, limitations, and transformations announced by artificial intelligence in the audiovisual sector.
Intellectual properties (IP), now central to the creation economy, will also be explored. Nicolas Tytgat (Peyo Company), grandson of Peyo, and David Mendlewicz (Papegaai), an entrepreneur in the creative industries, will present how to build their value and evolve them across generations and media.
The event will also address how video game mechanics are reinventing immersive and interactive experiences, with an intervention by Yves Grolet (Hidyl), a pioneer in Walloon video games.
Finally, Sandrine Roustan, General Director of Content at RTBF, will discuss how traditional audiovisual broadcasters and producers can adapt to the new rules of the game between traditional broadcasting and the creator economy.
The "Walliversaire" is a private professional event by invitation only. However, Wallimage wishes to open about twenty places to students and young professionals to build the future with the talents of tomorrow. Applications are open via an online form.
