The Province of Namur launches its new Provincial Prizes, recognizing four exemplary initiatives in culture, better living, education, and territory, with €5,000 and a trophy for each winner.

The new Provincial Prizes from the Province of Namur have been launched. These distinctions aim to highlight exemplary initiatives in four key areas of provincial life: culture, better living, education, and territory.
Each of the four categories will reward an initiative that facilitates access to culture, improves quality of life, innovates in education, or contributes to provincial development and the enhancement of the living environment. The winners will receive a prize of €5,000 to support or develop their project, along with a trophy designed by students from Emap, the Province's School of Trades and Arts.
The competition is free and open to any adult resident in the province of Namur, as well as any structure active in the territory. Applications are open now and will close on November 30, 2026, at 12 PM. Eligible projects will be reviewed by a jury, and the public will also be invited to vote for their preferred initiatives, with the final result based equally on both.
Public voting will take place from December 1, 2026, to January 15, 2027. The official award ceremony will be held on January 22, 2027. For more information, conditions, and the participation form, visit the dedicated website: https://prix.province.namur.be/
It is worth noting that the provincial economic prize, managed by Bep (Namur Province Economic Bureau), continues to exist and will be awarded next January. These new prizes aim to showcase driving projects, innovative approaches, and exemplary commitments that transform the territory and inspire.
