From November 3, 2026, to March 31, 2027, the Maison des Solidarités in Andenne is implementing its Winter Plan, providing a place of welcome and comfort for vulnerable individuals.

During the winter period, the Maison des Solidarités, located at Rue de la Papeterie, 3 in Andenne, opens its doors to welcome the public with hot drinks, a meal of soup and sandwiches, blankets, clothing, rest periods, and social, medical, and psychological assistance.
The opening hours for the reception area are as follows: Monday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday to Thursday from 9:15 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday from 9:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. For information, the phone number is 085/84.95.67.
In parallel, two teams composed of educators and a nurse will ensure a presence on the ground several times a week as part of the street outreach. The health relay can be reached at 0499/92.21.59.
The notice also reminds of the steps to take to avoid cold exposure, such as drinking hot beverages, keeping feet dry, prioritizing warm clothing, and covering the head and neck. It is advisable to check on relatives and senior neighbors, and to avoid alcohol consumption. The most at-risk individuals include the elderly, young children, those under the influence of substances, and the homeless.
The risks and symptoms of hypothermia are described, ranging from shivering and pale skin to drowsiness and slowed breathing. In case of malaise, it is recommended to put a hat on the person, cover them with a survival blanket, give them a hot drink (not scalding), and ensure they are not wet. If concerned about the person's condition or temperature, call 112.
Several useful addresses are also provided: the Red Cross Vestiboutique (rue Brun, 25), the Saint-Vincent de Paul Society (rue du Château, 16 in Seilles), the CPAS of Andenne for heating allowances (rue de l’Hôpital, 20), and the Social Grocery store (rue du Pont, 40).
