The CPAS and the Municipal Administration of Hélécine have activated the 2026-2027 Cold Weather Plan, a program designed to support individuals who are isolated and vulnerable due to difficult winter conditions.

This plan specifically aims to assist residents of the commune, particularly those over 65 years old and individuals with reduced mobility, who are facing cold temperatures, permanent frost, and heavy snowfall.
As part of this initiative, several free services will be offered upon prior request to vulnerable individuals. The CPAS social service will conduct home visits to help with obtaining essential supplies and can accompany beneficiaries to medical appointments, pharmacies, or banks.
The municipal administration will also facilitate the delivery of documents to homes. Furthermore, the municipal technical service and the CPAS's Brico-dépannage service will respond to requests for snow removal from sidewalks and access routes to residences.
Any resident of the municipality wishing to benefit from these services can register with the CPAS of Hélécine. Registrations can be made by phone at 019/65 59 59 or by email at info@cpas-helecine.be.
