On September 25th, Houtopia in Houffalize celebrated its 30th anniversary with IDELUX Projets publics, marking three decades dedicated to children's development and the town's future.

Houffalize – This Friday, September 25th, IDELUX Projets publics joined Houtopia, the 'Univers de Sens', to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this emblematic venue. Conceived by José Lutgen, then mayor of Houffalize, Houtopia aimed to create a space for children and help the town, deeply marked by World War II memories, look towards the future.
Inaugurated in 1996, Houtopia was initially dedicated to children's rights. Over the years, the site has evolved into a space for sensory awakening, discovery, and play, fostering children's development. This evolving project, undertaken with the Municipality of Houffalize, the ASBL Côté Enfance, and the Province of Luxembourg, has seen several significant investments, including the creation of the adventure trail in 2013, the balance trail in 2015, the renovation of the indoor space in 2018, and the recent development of a water park in 2026.
To mark its 30th anniversary, Houtopia offered a festive program focused on sensory awakening. The highlight of the day was the inauguration of the new interactive sensory exhibition 'What do you eat?' ('Et toi ? Tu manges quoi ?'), dedicated to food. This activity, primarily aimed at schoolchildren, invites them to explore, handle, and discuss various topics such as the food pyramid, short supply chains, cultural diversity, Nutri-Scores, and the importance of physical activity, with the goal of developing their critical thinking.
The involvement of IDELUX Projets publics, through the expertise of its project managers and the skills of the IDELUX group, underscores its role in territorial development by bringing to fruition and evolving structuring projects for the region.
