Fabian Demily, head of the Pedagogical and Digital Support Unit (CAPN) at HERS, received the public prize at the LUDOVIA#BE festival for his educational mediation tool Bipper.

This distinction, awarded as part of the 7th edition of LUDOVIA#BE, recognizes the most impactful communication for its originality, creativity, or game-based pedagogical approach. Fabian Demily was acclaimed for Bipper, a tool he developed that uses geolocation as a vector for active learning.
The objective of Bipper is to demonstrate how accessible technology, such as smartphones and GPS, can become a driver for active learning, reliable assessment, and lasting engagement. It is applicable in diverse contexts, including physical education, social sciences courses, professional training, and extracurricular activities.
Bipper illustrates how digital tools can enrich the connection to the field and reality. The proposal is immediately reproducible: the tool works from any browser, on smartphones as well as tablets, without requiring installation or special infrastructure, only a 4G or 5G connection is necessary.
Fabian Demily was honored on October 20th during the opening evening of LUDOVIA#BE, an annual event dedicated to the development of digital skills in Wallonia.
