A bright yellow 'Senior Focus' box placed inside a refrigerator to aid emergency services in case of an urgent situation.

On the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, the Province of Luxembourg, through the Senior Focus initiative, offers a bright yellow box to be placed in the refrigerator of seniors in Aubange.

As part of the Senior Focus initiative, the Province of Luxembourg offers seniors a bright yellow box to be placed in their refrigerator. This measure aims to facilitate emergency services' access to personal and medical information in case of disappearance or illness, ensuring rapid retrieval.
The box contains two essential forms: a descriptive sheet with a photo, distinguishing features, lifestyle habits, and frequented places, as well as a medical sheet detailing key information such as medications, allergies, and chronic conditions. A sticker placed on or near the fridge allows emergency services to easily identify the box.
It is recommended to update these forms regularly. The box is available free of charge at the reception of the CPAS of Aubange, located at Avenue de la Libération 39 in Athus, on Tuesdays from 2 PM to 4 PM and Thursdays from 9 AM to 11 AM. For more information, contact 063/37.20.00.
This initiative is primarily offered to individuals aged 75 and over, but can also be obtained free of charge from age 65 upon request. October 1st, the International Day of Older Persons, serves as a reminder of the importance of safety and well-being for our seniors.
