Since 2022, the Local Rural Development Commission (CLDR) has been supporting the implementation of the Communal Rural Development Program (PCDR), developed with citizens to define projects and actions for Villers-la-Ville in the coming years.
Several projects are nearing completion. The Commune has submitted two feasibility convention requests to Rural Development: one for the renovation of the Sart-Dames-Avelines multipurpose hall and another for the renovation of the Recreational, Cultural, and Sports Center (CRCS) in Tilly. These conventions are awaiting the signature of Minister DALCQ, a necessary step to receive subsidies and launch tenders for project managers.
In parallel, several working groups (GT) have focused on concrete actions. The Horeca GT, in collaboration with the CECI and the Abbaye, has implemented the project sheet « Promotion of Horeca in the villages », contributing to the development of a dedicated webpage for Villersoise Horeca offerings with QR codes. More information at www.cecivillers.be/fr/horeca.
The Garden GT has realized the project sheet « Promotion of natural and ecological management practices for public and private gardens » by organizing the first edition of « Villers mon jardin » on May 31, 2026. Five private gardens opened their doors to the public, meeting with great success. A new edition is planned for 2028, and anyone wishing to participate in its preparation can join the working group starting in 2027.
The CLDR, comprising citizens and communal representatives, monitors PCDR projects and contributes to discussions about the future of Villers-la-Ville. Its composition is regularly renewed to allow new residents to get involved. The CLDR meets approximately four times a year and offers opportunities to join thematic working groups.
Citizens interested in participating can complete the online application form available at frw-pcdr.be/villers-la-ville, under the « Actualités » tab. A paper version can be requested from Nicolas Bosmans (n.bosmans@frw.be) and returned by email or submitted to the Commune. Applications must be submitted by November 23, 2026, at the latest.
