In anticipation of Storm Austen, the City of Tubize has decided to close access to its parks and playgrounds this Friday and for a large part of Saturday as a safety precaution.

Storm Austen, expected on Friday afternoon and evening, will bring wind gusts of up to 80 to 90 km/h and heavy rainfall, with accumulations of 25 to 50 l/m² in 24 hours. In response to these weather forecasts, the municipality has decided to secure its public spaces.
The areas affected by this temporary closure include: the Étang du Coeurcq, the clinic park (intersection of Boulevard Georges Deryck and Avenue de Scandiano), Parc 125 (Rue du Parc), the Parcours Vita as well as the playground and tennis courts at the Leburton sports complex (Allée des Sports). Also closed are Parc Saint-Jean (Avenue des Platanes and Rue Saint-Jean), the petit parc (Rue de la Démocratie), the Oisquercq playground (Rue du Canal), the playground on Rue de la Chasse, and the playground in the Quartier du 45 (Avenue du Hain).
The City urges citizens to respect these closure measures and to exercise extreme caution when traveling. It is advisable to monitor the weather evolution via the provided links: meteo.be/fr/tubize and meteo.be/fr/meteo/avertissements/carte-de-belgique.
