Yesterday, in Corbais, a ceremony was held to pay tribute to the six young British and Canadian aviators who lost their lives in 1942, as well as to the local fighters who battled for freedom.

The municipality of Mont-Saint-Guibert thanked all those present, the patriotic associations, the non-profit organization "Corbais, toute une histoire…", and the pupils from the communal schools for their participation in this moment of remembrance.
The importance of remembrance was highlighted, not only to honor the sacrifices made for freedom but also to pass on the value of peace to future generations.
At a time when conflicts continue to affect the world, these ceremonies remind us that war is never just a page of history. The duty of remembrance concerns us all, young and old, so that the tragedies of the past are not repeated.
The municipality hopes to see many of you on Wednesday, November 11th, for the commemoration of the Armistice, to continue this duty together.
