This evolution aims to simplify administrative procedures, facilitate exchanges, and reduce paper usage, while maintaining local support. Citizens, self-employed individuals, and businesses will now be able to submit their permit applications online and benefit from digital tracking of their files.
Environmental permits, required for activities impacting the environment, and single permits, which combine urban planning and environmental authorizations, are concerned. Class 3 environmental declarations can also be submitted online. Standard urban planning permits will follow a separate schedule.
Previously based on paper documents, applications can now be submitted remotely via a secure personal space on the regional platform Mon Espace (https://monespace.wallonie.be). Benefits include simplified forms, better dossier tracking, facilitated communication, and reduced paper consumption.
Paper submissions remain possible, but the Municipality encourages the use of digital tools. Legal rules and procedures for permits, as well as regulatory deadlines, remain unchanged.
This digital transition is part of a regional program to modernize public services and contributes to reducing the administrative environmental footprint. The Municipality's Environment Department remains available to assist applicants.
