The Commune of Ohey has implemented a new waste sorting system in its cemeteries, located on Rue Marteau and Rue Bois de Goesnes.

As part of the « Tri dans les cimetières » (Sorting in Cemeteries) project, initiated by BEP Environnement with the support of Fost Plus, several bins have been installed in the cemeteries of Ohey. These facilities aim to facilitate waste sorting for visitors.
Visitors will now find bins dedicated to household waste, organic waste, and PMC (Paper, Magazines, Cardboard). Stickers on each bin and an explanatory panel are present to guide sorting and prevent errors.
The goal is to reduce waste treatment costs by promoting recycling. The municipality emphasizes that if everyone participates, the savings made can be reinvested in other municipal projects that benefit citizens.
