From October 5th to 11th, Mental Health Week will highlight the importance of housing as a place of security and reconstruction, with events organized by mental health services in the province of Namur.

Housing, far more than just a roof, is an essential pillar for security, grounding, and psychological well-being. Addressing these issues, the mental health services (SSM) of the Province of Namur are joining the Mental Health Week, taking place from October 5th to 11th, to offer a series of public events.
These events, including workshops, meetings, and exchange sessions, aim to explore the close links between living environment and mental health. They are open to SSM beneficiaries, their partners, and the general public.
In Couvin, on October 7th, from 2 PM to 5 PM, the provincial well-being center (ruelle Carcsot 12) will host children and their families for an afternoon of discovery and expression titled Come find your voice with us.
On October 8th, in Dinant (rue Alexandre Daoust 72), from 10 AM to 4 PM, the SSM is organizing a day of exchanges and workshops titled Living Differently: a day to create, exchange, and act. Open to beneficiaries and professionals, this event aims to foster collective reflection and experience sharing. Registrations are appreciated at 081 776 837 or via email at ssm.dinant@province.namur.be.
Andenne will offer two activities: on October 6th, from 1 PM to 2:30 PM, a participatory workshop to make the SSM waiting room a more welcoming and calming space. On October 9th, from 1 PM to 3 PM, the open-to-all activity, Huts Together!, will explore the link between our living space and our inner world through material experimentation.
Also on October 9th, from 9 AM to 12 PM, the SSM of Florennes (rue Gérard de Cambrai 18) will host a breakfast and round table discussion on the theme Mental Health & Housing, to discuss field realities and explore new collaboration avenues.
Other specific actions are planned: in Gembloux, on October 8th, a 4th-year vocational training class will participate in a mental health awareness activity based on an escape game. In Beauraing, on October 8th and 9th, three secondary schools will host workshops with various partners to destigmatize mental health and introduce young people to existing local support resources.
Beyond the activities themselves, this week is an invitation to talk about mental health, to better understand the services that can support individuals at different life stages, and to strengthen links between professionals, partners, and citizens. These events also offer an opportunity to visit mental health services and discover available local resources.
