The Pedestrian Barometer is back across Belgium to gather walkers' experiences and improve safety, accessibility, and comfort.

Walking is an essential mode of transport for commuting to work, school, shopping, or simply for leisure. To better understand the challenges related to the safety, accessibility, comfort, and attractiveness of walking, the Pedestrian Barometer collects the experiences of pedestrians throughout Belgium.
Until October 31, 2026, everyone can participate by completing the online questionnaire available at www.barometrepieton.be. In about fifteen minutes, participants can give their opinion on the quality of walking routes in the municipalities of their choice.
This initiative also offers a chance to win a prize. The higher the participation, the more precise the results will be in identifying ways to improve the daily lives of pedestrians. Municipalities that collect over 50 responses will receive a detailed report specific to their territory.
