The communal library of Gembloux now hosts a Give-box and a seed library, spaces dedicated to reuse, waste reduction, and citizen solidarity.

The City of Gembloux has inaugurated a Give-box at the communal library, an initiative that aligns with its zero-waste approach adopted since 2020. This new system allows citizens to freely deposit and take everyday items that are still in good condition, thereby promoting reuse and waste reduction.
To ensure the proper functioning of the Give-box and prevent unsuitable donations, books and clothing are not permitted. Access to this space is available during the library's opening hours.
Integrated within the Give-box, a seed library has also been developed as part of the PCDN. This space facilitates seed exchange among citizens, contributing to the preservation of local biodiversity. This simple and supportive gesture invites everyone to participate.
