The citizen voting phase for the Participatory Budget is now open. Eight projects, proposed by residents to enhance local life, are up for selection. It is now up to the public to decide which initiatives will be realized.
The 8 projects include: lighting for playgrounds and pétanque courts in Lesterny, a shelter for the Mormont bread oven, gazebos for social gatherings, materials to foster connection, a swift colony in central Nassogne, a kiosk in Masbourg, two table tennis tables near the pond, and the completion of the Grune playground. Details and costs for each project are available on the participation platform.
Each resident has a virtual budget of €20,000 to allocate to their preferred projects. Multiple projects can be selected, provided the total does not exceed this amount. Votes exceeding €20,000 or not adhering to the one-vote-per-resident rule will be invalidated.
Voting is open until October 31st, 2026. Citizens can cast their votes online via the participation platform (participation.frw.be/fr-BE/projects/bp-nassogne-2026) or submit paper forms at the reception of the Maison communale.
The final outcome will be determined by 50% citizen vote and 50% by a selection committee. Broad participation is encouraged to ensure the results accurately reflect the community's desires.
