The Commune of Martelange has launched the 'Christmas Trees in Our Streets' initiative, inviting households to decorate a free Christmas tree outside their homes to create a festive ambiance.

The Commune of Martelange is launching a collective initiative for the holiday season: 'Christmas Trees in Our Streets'. The goal is to create a warm and festive atmosphere throughout the commune's villages and streets.
The operation is open to households residing in Martelange. Each household can receive a free Christmas tree (Picea abies, height 175-200 cm), subject to availability and on a first-come, first-served basis. One tree is allocated per household and per address.
To participate, residents must register by November 9, 2026. Trees can be collected on Saturday, November 21, 2026 (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Parc de la Tannerie) or Thursday, November 26, 2026 (2:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Martelange Communal Administration parking lot).
Once collected, participants commit to installing and decorating the tree outside their home, ensuring it is visible from the public road, by December 10, 2026. Decorations must remain visible throughout the holiday period.
The commune encourages residents to share photos of their decorated trees by sending them to communication@martelange.be. These photos may be published on the commune's social media and communication channels.
