The municipality of Libin has opened voting for its 2026 Participatory Budget, allowing adult residents to choose from four local projects funded by a €15,000 budget.

Following the call for projects for the 2026 Participatory Budget, the municipality of Libin is now inviting its residents to vote for their preferred initiatives. Four projects have been selected by a committee and will share a total budget of €15,000.
Among the projects submitted for voting are the rehabilitation of the playground in Villance, aiming to improve safety and comfort for children with a new surface. In Anloy, the proposal is to create a communal orchard on the former football field, including fruit trees, a flower meadow, and birdhouses to promote biodiversity.
Another project, titled 'Les Vergers d’Antan – Libin', aims to establish a citizen orchard with fruit trees, berry bushes, and native hedges, focusing on biodiversity and knowledge sharing in the spirit of old Ardennes orchards. Lastly, the project 'Le Bouchon d’Hamaide' plans to create a convivial space with benches and plantings to beautify the neighborhood and provide a meeting place for residents.
Voting is open to adult residents of Libin. Each voter has one vote. Submissions can be made on paper by depositing a ballot in the sealed ballot box at the Communal Administration hall during opening hours, or online by scanning a QR code. The voting period closes on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM. The count will take place on October 19, and the winning project(s) must be completed within two years.
