The fire risk is currently assessed as moderate but could reach a high level from September 29, due to continued dry weather, announced temperature increases, and strengthening winds.
During this period, several prohibitions will be in effect across the entire provincial territory. It will be forbidden to light or maintain a fire in woods and forests, without exception, including in specially designated areas. Smoking in woods and forests will also be prohibited.
Barbecues and other flame-based cooking devices will remain authorized outside of woods and forests, on both public and private land. However, they must be under the permanent supervision of an adult, placed sufficiently far from any dry vegetation or combustible material, and have appropriate extinguishing means immediately available.
Furthermore, the use of fireworks, pyrotechnic displays, flying lanterns, and other fire-related spectacles is prohibited throughout the province.
It is also forbidden to throw, deposit, or abandon burning objects, cigarette butts, ashes, or any item likely to cause a fire to start in woods, forests, natural spaces, crops, meadows, or their surroundings.
These measures will come into effect on September 28, 2026, at 00:00 and will remain applicable until October 1, 2026, inclusive.
