The Givebox, a community donation box located at Place du Tram in Nil Saint-Vincent, has reopened its doors after renovation funded by the Participatory Budget of the Commune of Walhain.

After a few weeks' absence, the Givebox has been given a makeover and is back at Place du Tram. This initiative, which allows residents to give a second life to objects they no longer need, benefited from the Participatory Budget of the Commune of Walhain for its renovation. A new, clean cabinet has thus been installed.
Launched four years ago by volunteers, the project aims to promote the donation of items in good condition. The Givebox is part of the activities carried out by TWist - Walhain en transition.
It is reminded that the Givebox is not a disposal site. Only clean, complete, and functional items are accepted. Oversized items should be announced on the Donnerie de Walhain or through other channels. Clothing is not accepted (clothing bins are available nearby); only children's books are allowed. Broken or incomplete toys, as well as damaged items, should not be deposited there. These should be taken to the recycling center.
The Commune of Walhain thanks citizens for their understanding, civic-mindedness, and participation in this initiative, hoping to maintain a welcoming and useful space for everyone.
