Throughout the week of September 16 to 23, the communal school of Hélécine actively participated in Mobility Week. The objective was to raise students' awareness of soft mobility, road safety, and appropriate public behavior.
September 18 was particularly eventful for primary school students. They took part in a mini-workshop on bicycle safety and maintenance, engaged in village treasure hunts, enjoyed bike rides, shared a picnic, and had a recreational afternoon at the Hélécine park.
The youngest students were not forgotten. On September 23, kindergarten students participated in a "circuit" activity in the playground. They were introduced to essential road safety rules, learning, for instance, to cross safely and ride on a specially set-up track with signs and balance bikes.
These initiatives allowed children to learn through movement, concretely practice good habits, and most importantly, enjoy different ways of getting around. It's a great way to instill in them, from a young age, the keys to safer, more active, and more sustainable mobility.
The institution extended its sincere thanks to the teachers, volunteer parents, the Parents' Association, the GAL, the communal technical service, and everyone who contributed to the success of this week.
