Throughout September, artisan bakers, farmer-millers, and consumers mobilized to support a local, transparent, and ethical grain sector. This initiative aims to highlight the work of those who cultivate, process, and make the bread of our territory.
This year's results are very positive: nearly 3,000 local loaves were sold in the eight participating bakeries. This success demonstrates the growing interest of residents in local products and artisanal know-how.
The event also fostered sharing and transmission with two local bread-making workshops that were fully booked. Participants were able to discover the journey from grain to bread and engage in a convivial atmosphere.
The competition organized during the operation was also very successful, offering eight winners a €50 voucher for their favorite participating bakery, thus rewarding committed consumers.
The GAL du Pays des 4 Bras warmly thanks the eight participating bakeries, including the two new ones (Naolye and Miettes & Compagnie), as well as the farmer-millers and partners for their commitment. Great thanks are also extended to the consumers who, by choosing local bread, have concretely supported the local economy and proximity agriculture.
This edition confirms the desire to recreate a link between the field, the mill, the bakery, and the plate, emphasizing that each loaf purchased helps sustain this dynamic. The goal is for the habits formed in September to continue throughout the year.
