A multidisciplinary crisis exercise was conducted in Louvain-la-Neuve on October 14th to anticipate risks associated with the upcoming 24 Hours Vélo event.

As the 24 Hours Vélo, scheduled for October 21st and 22nd, are being actively prepared, the City and UCLouvain jointly organized a pre-event crisis exercise. This drill, held on October 14th at the communal office in Louvain-la-Neuve, aimed to test risk management and contingency planning.
The exercise involved all disciplines under the Emergency Plan, including rescue services (firefighters, medical, health, psychosocial), police, logistical support, and the information-communication unit. These teams worked under the supervision of Bourgmestre Nicolas Van der Maren and in collaboration with the student organizers of the event.
