The City of Andenne, in collaboration with Forem and various partners, is organizing the 'Les 4 Coins de l’Emploi' week from September 21 to 24. This event aims to provide information, opportunities, and personalized support to professionals and job seekers.
The program includes several key events: on Monday, September 21, an information session on employment aid attracted nearly thirty participants, introducing local actors supporting businesses. On Tuesday, September 22, the Jobday Food Industry saw 8 companies present, offering nearly 40 job openings to around 200 job seekers.
On Wednesday, September 23, the Training Fair brought together over 20 local training and socio-professional integration organizations, welcoming more than 200 visitors. The week will conclude on Thursday, September 24, with open house events at the Maison de l’Emploi.
This initiative is the result of extensive collaboration between the City of Andenne, Forem, the CPAS of Andenne, promAndenne, Mirena, the Local Employment Agency, AVIQ, Alimento, Food at Work, and the Maison de l’Emploi, with support from 'En Mieux', the Walloon Region, and the European Union.
Recent data on the Andenne labor market shows 1,792 unemployed job seekers as of July 31, 2026, with 54% men and 46% women. Among them, 544 are seeking benefits and 130 are young people in insertion internships. Age distribution is as follows: 41% are under 30, 37% are between 30 and 50, and 22% are 51 and over. Educational levels vary, with 21% holding higher education diplomas.
