The aim is to honour athletes, teams, clubs, and organisations that bring recognition to the municipality and contribute to the development of local sports. Results achieved during the 2026 calendar year will be considered.
Three main distinctions will be awarded: the Martelangeois Sports Merit for achievements and efforts, the Martelange Talent for promising young individuals aged 8 to 18, and the Sports Heart Award for those actively promoting sports. A Handisport Prize may also be presented.
Participation criteria include athletes residing in Martelange, Martelange clubs for team sports, and members of a club based in the municipality for at least three years.
Nominations can be submitted by the athlete, a club representative, a citizen, or by the jury's proposal. They must be submitted via the online form by October 30, 2026.
The official award ceremony, including a commemorative plaque and a 200 euro sports gift voucher, will take place in January 2027 during the municipal New Year's greetings event.
