On October 3rd and 4th, 2026, the Municipality of Léglise and the Natural Park are uniting for a weekend dedicated to discovery, encounters, and festivities. This event aims to celebrate the richness of the territory's landscapes through nature, heritage, family activities, shows, and the promotion of local flavors.
The varied program will extend from the Thibessart pond to the Léglise Market Square, offering convivial moments and shows. A sound and light show will be projected onto the church on both evenings, while a collective land art creation will take place all day on Sunday, October 4th.
On Saturday, October 3rd, the Thibessart pond will host the inauguration of new facilities starting at 11 am, followed by a horse logging demonstration. Visitors can explore the site autonomously with an interactive game themed around Lily the dragonfly or engage in a geocaching activity of approximately 11.5 km towards the famous Mellier forges. In the afternoon, starting at 1:30 pm, guided walks will allow for landscape discovery, including a nature walk focused on migratory birds and late-summer insects, as well as a 'Landscape Detectives' activity offered by the Natural Park. The Léglise Market Square will be the scene of activities starting at 3 pm with a Local Market, where local producers and artisans will showcase their products. At 6:30 pm, the group Pink Folk will liven up the evening with a folk dance concert. The day will conclude at 8:30 pm with a sound and light show on the church, a free and immersive video mapping projection offered every 30 minutes, with a capacity of 250 people per slot. Registration is recommended to secure a place.
On Sunday, October 4th, the Léglise Market Square will launch the Natural Park Festival starting at 11 am, with the inauguration of new facilities and a day of activities throughout the afternoon. Participants can contribute to a collective Land Art creation, enter a competition for ephemeral artworks (info and participation: frida@parcnaturel.be or 063 45 74 77), discover local biodiversity, enjoy wooden games and carriage rides, as well as local produce and crafts.
The afternoon will also feature an equestrian show titled 'Forgotten Treasures' by Fly Away from 2 pm to 4 pm. The musical evening will begin at 5:45 pm with a concert by Louvat Bros, followed at 7 pm by the indie rock quartet Ice and Caffeine. As on the previous day, a sound and light show will be presented on the church starting at 8:30 pm.
