In observance of Pink October, the City of Tubize is mobilizing to raise awareness in the fight against breast cancer. As early detection is essential, this month serves as an opportunity to recall important steps.
Women between 50 and 69 years old are encouraged to consider the Mammotest, a free screening examination that helps detect potential abnormalities at an early stage. Self-examination can also aid in identifying unusual changes, and it is advised to consult a doctor if any concerns arise.
To support the cause, several events are planned. On October 11, Soralia Tubize will host a solidarity walk starting from the Wautrequin school in Clabecq. All proceeds will be donated to Think Pink. Information is available at: https://bit.ly/4xXvuKi.
On October 25, RDI and Running 1480 will hold the Let’s Pink race in Clabecq. For each registration, €1 will be donated to Think Pink. Information and registration details can be found at: https://bit.ly/4xQL4ac.
The city encourages everyone to get informed, get screened, and get involved to take care of themselves and spread awareness.
