The Perbais Collectors' Circle marks its half-century milestone with a special exhibition in Walhain, highlighting a wide array of rare items and local history.

In Walhain, the Perbais Collectors' Circle, founded in October 1976 as the Cercle philatélique de Perbais, is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Until October 18, 2026, a major exhibition titled 'The Collectors of the Walhain Entity Show Their Collections' is being held at the La Forge hall (rue Cruchenère 101, in Perbais).
Admission is free and offers a chance to discover a diverse range of collections: stamps, postcards, comic books, vinyl records, antique toys, miniature cars, as well as more unusual items like jewelry from Nagaland and a section dedicated to the history of bats. Part of the exhibition also covers the local history of Perbais and the club itself, featuring engravings on Napoleon's family life.
Franz Bertrand and Serge Marchand share their passions and memories. During the opening, attendees showed great interest in the originality of the displayed objects and the historical illustrations. The club, established in 1976 by a group of young enthusiasts, expanded its scope in 1994, adopting its current name to reflect its varied interests.
The circle plays a significant cultural role in the municipality through its notable exhibitions. Fifty years after its inception, it continues to preserve and share heritage, history, and the spirit of collecting in Walhain.
The exhibition runs until October 18, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends and by appointment on weekdays, at La Forge, rue Cruchenère 101 in Perbais. Entry is completely free.
